How to dress for an outdoor concert

1. Check the weather! This will be your first step in preparing what clothing and accessories are appropriate! Be sure to consider umbrella, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

2. Keep it casual and comfortable. Chances are you will be sitting on the ground so choose clothes that are loose around the legs and hips!

3. Think dressy casual for classical or jazz concerts, men may want to opt for khakis, linen shorts in the summer, a collared shirt, or a sweater in the fall. Women could consider cotton slacks, or sun dresses for summertime!

4. Bring an extra sweater or light jacket for cool evenings

5. Wear comfortable shoes, leave the stilettos at home!

6. Go light on the makeup—smudge proof and waterproof formulas are sure to be your best bet!

7. As far as hair goes, go big and messy! Your hair will probably end up this way anyway, so attempt to make it a look you were going for!

What to wear to any concert ANYWHERE!

What to wear to any concert ANYWHERE!

The last thing you want to worry about when getting ready to listen to your favorite music live and in person is whether or not you’re wearing is comfortable and stylish. Keeping your attire simple and flexible will ensure a great and worry-free time.

  1. Steer away from uncomfortable shoes. You will most likely either be standing or dancing, and don’t want sore feet at the end of the night!
  2. Avoid anything without pockets- considering pockets are useful to hold miscellaneous items including cell phones, tickets, or money.
  3. Don’t wear too warm clothes inside or too little clothes outside. Make sure to layer so you’re prepared for anything!
  4. Don’t wear a huge hat. You will be annoying to those around you.
  5. Accessories are always a good bet! They can edge up or tone down an outfit- have fun with them!
